Purpose of running in:
Running in is to make the height of the tooth tip uniform, avoiding premature cutting and tilting of the tooth tip due to early edge breakage during cutting. A well run in saw blade has a service life that is at least 30% longer than an un run in one.
Break in method:
① During the break in period cutting, reduce the line speed to 60% of the normal line speed;
② During the break in period, the cutting speed is 1/3 of the normal speed or 40% of the normal efficiency;
③ The cutting area during the running in period is 800-1200 square meters or the running in time is about 40-80 minutes.
Note: 1) The break in time for mold steel and difficult to cut materials can reach 120 minutes.
2) Titanium alloy does not require running in.
